On October 7, 2023, Kibbutz Nachal Oz lost many of its Kibbutz members at the hands of the Hamas Massacre. As of August 1, 2024, 5 hostages were kidnapped, 2 have been returned, and 3 are still being held in Gaza. The community is scattered throughout the south of Israel, and currently many of its members live just west of Haifa in a Kibb

On July 28 Arielle read to the kids of Kibbutz Nachal Oz, in Hebrew! 45 Hebrew books will be distributed to the Kibbutz children, Bizrat Hashem, in the Fall of 2024.

Also on October 7, 2023, Kibbutz Shlomit, a border Kibbutz with the Gaza Strip was attacked and the entire Kibbutz was evacuated. On day 150 of the war the members of the Kibbutz were finally able to return home. They comprise 84 families, all of whom will receive a Hebrew edition of I Am Brave and Unafraid, Bizrat Hashem, this Fall 2024.
