I Am Brave and Unafraid

Welcome! A children's book!

Welcome! A children's book!Welcome! A children's book!

Recipe: Nightmare be Gone!

Nightmare be Gone!

Ingredients

  • Child and Adult Human Being
  • Book: I Am Brave and Unafraid
  • Warm Hugs
  • Sweet Kisses
  • Lots of Love

Steps

  1. Read book I Am Brave and Unafraid at least one time/day to your child. Don't worry, this will be easy. Your child will want you to read this book to them over and over and over again! (Warning you may love it and build confidence too!)
  2. After reading is complete say to your child, "Do you know you have the power to get rid of your own nightmares? You can do this through using the power of your thought.  You control your thoughts. You choose what you dream about.  If you don't like your dream use can your power of thought to change your dream. If you like your dream, use your power of thought to keep the dream going.  Try it tonight and tell me what happens."
  3. If, that night your child slept through the night, then the following morning get a full report from your child. Begin with: "I am so proud of you!!!! You slept through the night last night, and we all got a really good nights sleep! I'm so proud of you!!!" Then ask, "How did you sleep last night? Did you have any nightmares? How did you control them? Were you able to control your thoughts? How did you do it?"
  4. If, that night your child still came to you in the middle of the night or woke up from a nightmare then tell them, "I know last night another nightmare visited you. Can you tell me what happened?" Walk through the nightmare with your child and then say, "If you have that nightmare again, what could have been 3 things you could have changed about your dream?" i.e. change a lion to a birthday cake.
  5. Continue for 21 days in a row. If nightmares return begin again for 21 days. May need to be repeated often until your child can fully control their thoughts. (It took my kids about 3-6 months.) Please contact us and tell us your experience!

ENJOY BETTER SLEEP = HAPPY CHILD  = HAPPY PARENTS
